During his near two decades in animation, JP Karliak has voiced such iconic characters as Morph in X-Men ’97, Green Goblin in Spidey and His Amazing Friends, Boss Baby in both Netflix series, Wile E. Coyote, the Tin Man, Loki, Dale Dimmadome, and Willy Wonka. He recently starred as Gargamel (and his brother Razamel) opposite Rihanna in 2025’s animated Smurfs movie. On the interactive side, JP can be heard as the Joker in DC: Dark Legion and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, N. Tropy in Crash Bandicoot titles, Stepford in Date Everything, and Wolfgang in the Skylanders series. Notable anime credits include Kozo Fuyutsuki in the Netflix dub of Neon Genesis Evangelion and Gawain in the Fate/Grand Order films. He also cast and directed an all-star line-up of voices for the festival favorite animated film Maxxie LaWow: Drag Super She-ro.
Aside from voice acting, JP is the founder and president of Queer Vox, a non-profit training academy and community for LGBTQIA+ voice talent that advocates for authentic and equitable casting opportunities. Also a political junkie, JP and voiceover pal Courtenay Taylor are co-founders of the nonpartisan organization NerdsVote, linking gamers, cosplayers, con-goers, and pop culture fans of all kinds to voter registration opportunities.
JP hails from Dunmore, PA (neighbor of Scranton, “The Electric City”). He loves pie, his husband Scott, his dog Stanley Pucci, and pie.
